How safe do we feel?

15th October, 2019

Mrs Parr talked to children from Y1 to Y6 about how they kept safe and how they felt in school and at home. Pleae read their responses.

Almost £95 raised by the change Challenge! Squirrel class were the most successful.

A really successfull week in school for our children.

We are aware that some children are using an App called Tik Tok, in which they dance to music, post their videos online and invite others to comment. This is very dangerous as they cannot control or tell who is observing them. Children have described making these videos in their bedrooms, placing them at risk. Please can we ask all parents and carers to be vigilant and check? Tik Tok is rated 12+ on the Apple app store and “teen maturity” on Google Play. However, there is no system in place to verify a user’s age, so anyone can download it. Because of the access to inappropriate content, and the use of popular music that may contain explicit language, this is not an app for young kids.21 Aug 2018 – guidance Please don’t forget that the school is closed for staff training on Friday.
